Welcome to the Iowa Western Foundation scholarship application home page! The Iowa Western Foundation awards over $2.5 million in scholarships each year. Many of which, are made possible by generous donations from Iowa Western alumni, employees and board members; area businesses and organizations and other friends of the college.
Please follow these simple instructions when filling out your application to be considered for a scholarship. The following steps are REQUIRED to be considered for a scholarship:
- Apply by stated deadline
- Complete the entire application
- Have a high school, HiSET or GED diploma
Annual applications are required, even for “continuing” awards, unless otherwise stated or notified. Applications must be submitted online to be considered.
Reminder of Deadlines:
- Foundation Scholarships
- Priority deadline - February 1st by midnight CST for full-year awards (Fall/Spring)
- Final deadline - April 10th by midnight CST for full-year awards (Fall/Spring)
- November 15th by midnight CST for spring-only awards
- Presidential Scholarship
- Deadline is February 1st by midnight CST
Iowa Western reserves the right to open a second application window to accommodate late enrollments. The decision to offer a late enrollment scholarship deadline is made at the discretion of the department of Institutional Advancement.

Lack of English language proficiency will not be a barrier to admission and participation in career and technical education programs.
